Can Chad Dominate?

Chad Dawson fights Glen Johnson again tonight in what he hopes will be a more convincing and dominating performance.

When they fought a couple of years ago it was a close fight and Johnson still claims that he was robbed. However, Dawson claimed a unanimous decision. Dawson was down a couple of times and Johnson was the constant aggressor, pressing forward the whole time.

However, Dawson showed great boxing skills in making most of Johnsons punches miss and landing his own crisp combinations and counters, largely on the retreat. It was a close fight in my eyes but I did feel that Dawson did enough to just about edge it.

Dawson is much younger than Johnson and you'd expect that Johnson will be no better than last time but Dawson has perhaps improved further. If Dawson can avoid getting caught by the sort of punches that had him down last time then I expect that he will clearly outbox Johnson this time for a decision that can't be argued with.
