Cleverly Ready to Pass Fry Test

Nathan Cleverly defends his British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles tonight against former Olympian Courney Fry. Live on Sky Sports from York Hall, Bethnal Green.

In a competitive defence for Nathan Cleverly he will be looking to further establish his reputation and future world title credentials. Courtney Fry was a top class amateur who won 3 ABA titles, Commonwealth Games Gold and went to the Olympics in 2000, so he knows how to fight.

At 34, he hasn't hit the heights as a pro, but this is his big chance. A lot of people, myself included, believe that Cleverly has genuine world title potential, but he must pass tests like this if he is to succeed at the highest level.

Nathan has been very active this year and has had a great 2009, last time out stopping Danny McIntosh in an impressive 7th round stoppage.

I see Clev winning this one in a competitive fight, either on a clear points decision or possibly a late stoppage.

Derek Chisora is on the undercard as well as Olympian Billy Joe Saunders.
