Clinton Woods Retires

Clinton Woods has today announced his retirement from boxing after a highly distinguished career.

He has decided to call time on his 15 year career in which he won British, Commonwealth, European and World titles.

Speaking to the Sheffield Star, his local paper he said "There have been more ups than downs over 15 years. Beating Crawford Ashley for the European light-heavyweight title and winning the world title against Rico Hoye were the biggest highlights, along with beating Glen Johnson. It was good while it lasted and I am happy with what I achieved."

Woods was an excellent pro and he can be very proud of his career. He had a fine 42 -1-5 record with 24 KO's.
