Cloud's Time?

Tavoris Cloud faces the tough old warrior Glen Johnson on Saturday night in defence of his IBF light-heavyweight title, on a great bill of boxing put on by Don King in St Louis.

Also on the August 7th St Louis bill is local fighter and reigning WBC and IBF light-welterweight champion Devon Alexander defending against former WBA champion Andriy Kotelnik.

A third world championship fight on the bill sees another local fighter Cory Spinks defend his IBF light middleweight title against former Contender fighter Cornelius "K9" Bundridge.

The younger, fresher and talented Cloud should have too much for the old warhorse Johnson at this stage of his career, but Glen is used to upsetting the formbook and is a tough, solid old school fighter who despite all his success has largely been underrated throughout his career. The smart money is Cloud on points using his speed and energy to score more effectively.
