Marquez Beats Diaz Again

Juan Manuel Marquez showed that he's still the man at his true weight division of lightweight by unanimously outpointing Juan Diaz in a rematch of their classic last year.

In an absorbing fight that was always going to struggle to be as good as the cracker that these two put on last year, Marquez looked close to the top of his game as he comfortably outpointed a stubborn Juan Diaz.

Marquez dominated the first two thirds of the fight and staggered Diaz a couple of times. His punches were clearly having an effect, while Diaz didn't look to have the power to trouble Marquez. However, Diaz came back over the last third of the fight to win a few rounds and make the scorecards not look too one-sided.

Juan Diaz showed that he can still compete at the top level despite a few recent losses whilst Marquez is keen on a third fight with Pacquaio.
